liz muller & partners ’ work in the seafood sector is done in partnership with Sustainability Incubator. Katrina Nakamura, PhD, is founder of the Sustainability Incubator, which offers B2B due diligence for labor conditions in the food supply chain. She has worked in the seafood and food sectors for 25 years, with a focus seeing and addressing slavery in seafood supply chains, which includes winning the Partnership for Freedom grand prize to rethink supply chains to eliminate slavery for the Labor Safe Screen, a risk-based program that combines industry and human rights data with findings by the authorities to identify where risks of human rights abuses are highest in seafood supply chains.
Katrina is also a member of the supervisory board for the Aquaculture Stewardship Council.
